With the increasing demand for personalized nutrition, machine learning (ML) has emerged as a key technology in developing intelligent dietary recommendation systems. In this paper, we discuss various ML methods, from supervised and unsupervised learning to deep learning and reinforcement learning, for personalized dietary suggestion based on an individual's health profile, lifestyle, and preferences. Integrating gut microbiome analysis and machine learning for personalized recommendation models really outdoes conventional dietary assessment tools in predicting individual metabolic responses. In short, this research can pave the way for the usage of machine learning in transforming the recommendations concerning diet toward scalable, inexpensive, and healthier nutritional planning for everyone.
